I just want to take like a 10 hour nap…
maybe that just means I want to sleep.
but a 10 hour nap sounds great too.
The WORD. word.
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.” Psalm 119:9 God’s Word is a filter for pure living. His Word extracts the sediment of selfish living. It is a purifier. Without the purifying effect of the Word, we become polluted in our thinking and distasteful with our words. Everything about us becomes soiled by sin. Sin is dirty—it stains our lives. But, the Word of...

The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller
I’m pretty excited to start this book. Only read the first 13 pages but can already tell I’ll be taking a million notes. Thanks to Young Kim for lending me this book hahahaha it’s funny seeing all his highlights. He definitely put this book to good use.
Harvest is such a great church. Will post Pastor Walters sermon here shortly. His...
Talk with PW
My day before the exam, grabbed with with Pastor Walter for about two hours. Sat and talked about alot. He’s extremely wise.
Glad I have him as my pastor and someone to turn to for wisdom and advice.
Need to type it all out but it’ll take too long and I need to do positive reinforcement studying before sleeping early. Early rise tomorrow to get to my exam. Hopefully the snow...
Judges: a book full of Gods wisdom
Two let takeaways from tonight’s reading
1. Although Samson could strangle a lion with his bear hands (epic!), he could not smothering his burning lust and see Delilah correctly.
How can I keep my desire for love and pleasure from deceiving me???
1. Decide what kind of person I love love before passion takes over. Determine whether her character and faith in God are desirable as her...

Attention to Details
Wisdom Hunter Daily Devotional 2/9/2012
Almighty God is in the details, because He knows the details define a clear path for His will. Like Peter, His angel sometimes has to shake us out of the slumber of our sleepy self. We can nap in our pitiful prison of fear and forget God is still at work. He wants us to welcome His sudden shake up, so that we can see Christ’s course for our life more...
Thankful
There are things in my life that no person would find pleasing. I do lots of things that hurt people and damage my character. I sin in much bigger ways than I can even fathom. These things, the things about me that no one wants to see, were nailed to the cross and taken away. Thank God for the Gospel.

Benefits Of Repentance
(From Wisdom Hunter Daily Devotional) (It’s insane how in-tune and aligned these daily devotional e-mails, from an organization I’ve never talked to nor met, are with me and my current situations.)
“If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.” Proverbs 1:23 There are benefits that belong to real repentance. When you...
Protestant Reform - Five Solas →
The five solas articulated five fundamental beliefs of the Protestant Reformation, pillars which the Reformers believed to be essentials of the Christian life and practice. All five implicitly rejected or countered the teachings of the then-dominant Catholic Church, which had in the reformers’ mind usurped divine attributes or qualities for the Church and its hierarchy, especially its head,...
James 5:16
Psalm 38:15
Psalm 145:14
Psalm 2:12
Psalm 12:6
My emotions/thoughts have been stripped of anything physical/sensual/sexual. Every waking moment, from walking to the bathroom, riding the bus to work, eating, running, has been in prayer and repenting to God for my sins. For wronging Him. Thanking Him for washing me pure as snow. For loving me when I should be condemned and forgotten. He has not forsaken me.
Having my thoughts stripped away...
This has to be one of the hardest weeks of my life. No complaints. If anything, blessed. A broken and repentful man. Looking for God to finish what He started within me.
The book of judges is like an epic movie. So many characters. Deborah was a beast. And driving a nail through the temple? Iron chariots? Stabbing of foot and a half long swords? Action movie to the max
Judges 3-4
When struggles come out way god wants us to come to him first, seeking his strength and guidance.
All sin is ultimately against God because it disregards his commands and his authority over us. Psalm 51:4. Recognizing the seriousness of sin is the first step toward removing it.
A true leader is concerned for persons not just success. Those who lead must must not forget about the spiritual...
Key takeaways from Judges 1-2
Judges
Need to turn wholeheartedly to God. The people did whatever they thought was best for themselves. Result was spiritual and moral decline. Our lives fall Ito decline and decay unless we live by guidelines God has given us.
Everyone did as he saw fit. In order for our faith to survive, it must be practiced day by day. It must penetrate every aspect of our lives. Beware of starting out...
